Grambling State University Tigers to Host Statewide Youth Football Camp
The Grambling State University Tigers are set to kick off a statewide Youth Football camp for boys and girls, starting in Shreveport. Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation and GSU announced that the camp, led by Head Coach Mickey Joseph and his staff, will focus on teaching foundational skills to youths aged 10 to 18. The camp will take place on Monday, June 3rd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lee Hedges Stadium in Shreveport.
Registration for the camp will be walk-up only, beginning at 8:30 a.m., with a fee of $40 per camper. Hydration drinks and lunch will be provided by Raising Canes and the Caddo Parish Commission. The camp is a non-contact skills teaching camp open to all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level, and gender. Payments can be made on-site via Cash, the Cash App, or Apple Pay.
The camp will also be held on June 5th in Monroe, June 8th in Grambling, June 10th in Lafayette, June 12th in Baton Rouge, and June 14th in New Orleans. For more information, interested parties are encouraged to contact Mary Murphy at (318) 220-6284.
