A man was arrested for damaging U.S. Secret Service vehicles in New York City while they were providing security for Ella Emhoff, the step-daughter of Vice President Kamala Harris. The man, identified as Harry Heymann, 45, attempted to take or damage license plates on two Secret Service vehicles in lower Manhattan. Investigators believe that Heymann likely did not know the cars were Secret Service vehicles or who they were protecting. Heymann has previously expressed concerns about parking in the Tribeca neighborhood on Twitter. Fortunately, Emhoff, who was being protected by the Secret Service at the time, was not directly affected by the incident. The Secret Service quickly detained Heymann until local authorities arrived and placed him into police custody. No protectee was in danger as a result of the incident.
