The three players, whose outstanding performances have caught the attention of sports writers across the state, include pitcher AJ Labas, designated hitter Cade Beloso, and outfielder Gavin Dugas.
Pitcher AJ Labas, a junior from Fleming Island, Florida, has been a stand-out player on the mound for the Tigers this season. Labas boasts an impressive 5-0 record with a 3.79 ERA in 13 appearances, with 79 strikeouts and only 13 walks. His exceptional pitching skills have played a crucial role in securing victories for the team throughout the season.
Cade Beloso, a sophomore designated hitter from River Ridge, Louisiana, has also been a key player for the Tigers this season. Beloso has showcased his power at the plate, hitting .254 with 10 home runs and 39 RBIs in 50 games. His consistent hitting and ability to drive in runs have been instrumental in the team’s success this year.
Outfielder Gavin Dugas, a junior from Houma, Louisiana, has been another standout player for LSU this season. Dugas has been a force to be reckoned with at the plate, hitting .317 with 13 home runs and 53 RBIs in 54 games.
