Police in Bridgeton, New Jersey are searching for a woman who climbed over a barrier at Cohanzick Zoo and approached a tiger enclosure, putting her hand through a metal fence and narrowly avoiding being bitten by the tiger. The incident was captured on video, showing the woman climbing over a wooden fence meant to keep visitors away from the tigers. She then reached through a gap in the metal fence, seemingly attempting to pet the tiger before quickly retracting her hand as the animal moved towards her. The woman then posed for a photo before climbing back over the fence. Police are asking for help in identifying the woman and reminding the public that climbing over fences at the zoo is against city ordinance. The incident is reminiscent of a similar incident at the Bronx Zoo in 2019, when a woman climbed into a lion enclosure and appeared to taunt one of the lions. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bridgeton Police Department.
