Andrew and Tristan Tate are detained in Romania as part of a new investigation into trafficking | Crime

Influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate have been detained in Romania as part of a new investigation into alleged crimes including human trafficking and sex with a minor. The Tate brothers, who already faced charges of human trafficking and rape, were taken into custody after searches were conducted on their properties in Bucharest and Ilfov county. The Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism stated that the probe involves trafficking of minors, sexual intercourse with a minor, influencing statements, and money laundering.

The Tate brothers, known for their controversial promotion of an ultra-masculine lifestyle on social media, have denied the existing charges against them. When questioned by reporters as they were being detained, Andrew Tate dismissed the new allegations as “even more stupid” than the previous ones. He accused prosecutors of desperation and claimed that the charges were unfounded.

The Tates had previously been banned from leaving Romania pending their trafficking trial, which is set to proceed with two Romanian female suspects also facing charges. The trial date has yet to be determined. Andrew Tate later posted a video suggesting that the charges were part of a playbook used against individuals who speak out against the establishment, referencing allegations made against figures like Donald Trump and Julian Assange.

As the investigation into the Tate brothers continues, the public awaits further developments in the case.
