A woman from Millville, New Jersey, named Zyair J. Dennis, has been charged with defiant trespassing and violating city ordinances after allegedly climbing over barriers at the Cohanzick Zoo in Bridgeton. She was caught on video reaching into the tiger enclosure and narrowly avoiding being bitten by the aggressive animal. Similar behavior was also captured at the bear enclosure on the same day. The woman is scheduled to appear in municipal court next month, and it is unclear if she has legal representation. This incident is reminiscent of a 2019 case at the Bronx Zoo in New York, where a woman climbed into the lion enclosure and stood dangerously close to one of the animals. Police are investigating the incident at the Cohanzick Zoo and will ensure that safety measures are in place to protect both visitors and the animals.
