Excited Water Skier from Foothills Joins Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns

Bragg Creek athlete Megan Pelkey has secured a scholarship to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to join the Ragin’ Cajuns waterskiing team. Pelkey, who will study psychology as a pre-med student, is excited to ski with the team and is looking forward to the upcoming semester. The Ragin’ Cajuns have a successful program with 10 national championships and a diverse lineup of athletes from around the world. Pelkey, who has already achieved success on the national and international stage, credits her hard work and enjoyment of the sport for her achievements. She acknowledges the support of her family, coaches, and sponsors for helping her reach this point in her career. Pelkey’s journey from the foothills of Bragg Creek to southwestern Louisiana highlights her dedication to the sport and the opportunities it has brought her.
