The University of Arkansas is offering Faculty Equipment and Technology Grants to help clinical, tenured, and tenure-track faculty purchase specialized equipment or technology for undergraduate research projects. The grants, which can be up to $7,500, are awarded once per fiscal year with a deadline of September 27 this year.
Since launching in 2016, the Honors College has awarded over $630,000 in grant funds to faculty members. The grants have been used to purchase equipment such as a cutting-edge petroleum dataset and technology for counterfeit detection in various industries.
This year, up to $100,000 in grant funds will be awarded to faculty members seeking to enhance their undergraduate research programs. The grants are funded by a portion of a $300 million gift from the Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation in 2002.
Interested faculty members can visit the Honors College Faculty Resources page on the Honors College Sharepoint site for details on how to apply. Applications must be submitted online through the provided link.
The Faculty Equipment and Technology Grants aim to support faculty in transforming their undergraduate research programs by providing financial assistance for the purchase of necessary equipment or technology. For more information about the grants, visit the Honors College website.
