EU leader tours flood-ravaged area in Poland, promises billions in immediate assistance

During a visit to Wroclaw, Poland, she pledged funds from the EU’s solidarity fund as well as an additional 10 billion euros for urgent repairs. Von der Leyen met with government officials from Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia to discuss the devastating impact of the floods.
