Former CIA officer Brian Jeffrey Raymond has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for drugging and sexually abusing and filming multiple women without their consent. He pleaded guilty to various charges including sexual abuse, abusive sexual contact, coercion, and enticement. The crimes were committed over a 14-year span from 2006 to 2020, during which he drugged and sexually abused multiple women, as well as filmed and photographed them without their consent.
Raymond lured victims to his government-leased housing, drugged them, sexually abused them, and took explicit photos and videos of them. The FBI thanked the brave women who shared information that led to the investigation. Some victims were drugged and assaulted in government-leased housing in Mexico City, where Raymond was working at the time.
Raymond met victims on dating apps, drugged them, and posed their bodies for photos. Victims later discovered what had happened when they were shown pictures by the FBI. Raymond expressed remorse in court, stating that his actions betrayed everything he stood for and he was sorry for his actions.
The CIA condemned Raymond’s actions, stating that there was no excuse for his behavior. The defense attorney argued that Raymond had ignored his need for help over time and became emotionally numb. In addition to the 30-year prison sentence, Raymond was ordered to undergo supervised release for life, register as a sex offender, and pay restitution to the victims.
