After two weeks of the NFL season, injuries are already piling up among significant players. San Francisco 49ers superstar Christian McCaffrey is on injured reserve with Achilles tendinitis, while Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco has a fractured fibula. The Los Angeles Rams are also facing a shortage of wide receivers.
In the quarterback position, Green Bay Packers’ Jordan Love is questionable for Week 3 due to an MCL sprain, while Los Angeles Chargers’ Justin Herbert is also questionable after injuring his leg in Week 2. Miami Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa is out on injured reserve with a concussion, and Pittsburgh Steelers’ Russell Wilson remains questionable with a calf injury.
Among running backs, McCaffrey and Pacheco are out with injuries, while Houston Texans’ Joe Mixon is questionable with an ankle injury. Seattle Seahawks’ Kenneth Walker III and Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Rachaad White are also dealing with injuries.
In the wide receiver position, Chicago Bears’ Keenan Allen and Los Angeles Rams’ Cooper Kupp are questionable, while Cincinnati Bengals’ Tee Higgins is expected to return from a hamstring injury. Minnesota Vikings’ Justin Jefferson, Philadelphia Eagles’ A.J. Brown, and San Francisco 49ers’ Deebo Samuel are also dealing with injuries.
Among tight ends, Cleveland Browns’ David Njoku and Dallas Cowboys’ Jake Ferguson are questionable, while New Orleans Saints’ do-it-all player Taysom Hill is also questionable. These injuries will have significant implications on the coming weeks in the NFL season.
