Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a series of new lawsuits alleging sexual assault and rape that were filed on behalf of four males and two females in federal court. The incidents span from 1995 to 2021 and took place in New York City and the Hamptons. The lawsuits were filed by attorney Tony Buzbee under the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, with victims having until March 2025 to file older claims. Combs and his legal team have denied the allegations, stating that they have confidence in their legal defenses and the integrity of the judicial process. The court documents paint a disturbing picture of drug-fueled parties combined with violence, similar to details in Combs’ criminal indictment for racketeering and sex trafficking charges. Combs is currently awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded the lawsuits were seen as publicity attempts by Combs’ team. Several lawsuits have been filed against Combs since the federal case filed by his ex-girlfriend Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, which was settled for an undisclosed amount. Last week, Combs’ legal team accused the government of leaking information to the media, seeking an evidentiary hearing on the matter. Additionally, individuals including Dawn Richard, a former member of Danity Kane, have sued Combs for assault and threats.
