During the Louisiana-Texas State game in San Marcos, a frightening moment occurred when Ragin’ Cajuns cornerback Keyon Martin suffered a severe head/neck injury shortly before halftime. Martin collapsed to the ground after making a tackle, prompting trainers to call for a stretcher. He was stabilized on a board and taken off the field after a delay of around 10 minutes. Martin was then transported to a nearby Level 4 trauma center for further evaluation. Louisiana was leading 14-6 at the time of the injury. This story is still developing.
