Shreveport welcomes the return of the State Fair of Louisiana on Oct. 26


The 118th State Fair of Louisiana will be taking place from October 30 to November 17. This year’s fair will feature carnival rides, shows, food, live music, and popular events like the LRCA Finals Rodeo, the Ultimate Dog Show, and the largest livestock show in the state. Entry is free until 3 p.m. and parking will be free for all attendees. Ticket prices for adults are $15 and $8 for children aged 3-12. Pay-One-Price passes are available online for $50 for adults and $43 for children, and carnival ride armbands can be purchased for $35.

Special days at the fair include Senior’s Day on October 30, Veterans & Military Appreciation Day on November 10, and Latino Day on November 16. On Veterans & Military Appreciation Day, all military personnel, their spouses, and children under 18 will receive free entry with presentation of a military ID. Latino Day will feature Latin foods, live music, dancers, and exhibitor booths.

New security measures have been put in place for the fair, including a clear bag policy and additional cameras around the property. The fair will be open Wednesday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. It is sure to be a fun-filled event for the whole family!
