Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour Book” released on Black Friday revealed hidden details about her record-breaking concert tour that spanned five continents over 21 months. The $39.99, 256-page hardcover book was available at Target stores, which are in need of a boost after falling short of Wall Street expectations. The book, along with the exclusive album “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology,” is part of Swift’s effort to monetize her music beyond concerts and recordings.
In the book, Swift shared behind-the-scenes details of her performances, such as how she spins on a moving platform during “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” and how dancers in “Mastermind” create a chessboard sequence for a checkmate. Fans also learned that Swift travels backstage in a decorated janitor’s cart, which she described as relatively comfortable despite its small size.
The “Eras Tour” has been known for its military-like precision, always starting on time and lasting over three hours. Swift included songs from multiple albums in the tour, including “Lover,” “Fearless,” “Red,” “1989,” and more. The book ended with Swift thanking fans and hinting at more to come in the future.
With the tour coming to an end, fans who missed out on the Easter eggs hidden in the performances can now discover them in the “Eras Tour Book” available at Target stores and online.
