Billionaire Elon Musk donated over $20 million to a mysterious super PAC called RBG PAC in support of President-elect Donald Trump during the 2024 campaign. The super PAC, which previously did not disclose its donors, launched ads criticizing Trump’s stance on a federal abortion ban. The $20.5 million donation came from Musk’s trust in Austin, Texas, and was mainly spent on digital ads, mailers, and text messages. The group’s website claimed that Trump and the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg agreed on the abortion issue, drawing criticism from Ginsburg’s granddaughter. Musk also donated $238 million to America PAC, which spent heavily on various efforts to support Trump, including a controversial cash giveaway. Additionally, Musk gave $3 million to the MAHA Alliance in support of Robert F. Kennedy’s “Make America Healthy Again” initiative. Musk, a top donor to Trump, has been a visible supporter and advisor to the president, leading efforts to cut spending across the federal government. Despite facing legal challenges and warnings from the Justice Department regarding the cash giveaway, Musk’s donations have significantly contributed to pro-Trump efforts during the campaign.
