The Louisiana Governor, Jeff Landry, highlighted the economic growth and job opportunities the project will bring to the state. Entergy Louisiana plans to invest in new generation facilities and transmission infrastructure to support the data center, focusing on sustainability with plans to utilize hydrogen co-firing and carbon capture and sequestration technology.
Both Entergy Louisiana and Meta are committed to supporting economic growth and sustainability in the region, with Meta investing $200 million in local infrastructure improvements. The project is expected to continue through 2030, contributing to the long-term vitality of the community.
