High School Football America has been keeping fans updated on the 2024 Road to the Dome as the Louisiana high school football championships at the Caesars Superdome draw near. The state semifinal scores have been announced, setting the stage for the upcoming games.
In Division I, Edna Karr narrowly defeated Catholic (Baton Rouge) with a score of 21-19, while Alexandria beat John Curtis 24-13. In Division II, Archbishop Shaw emerged victorious over Madison Prep with a score of 35-28, and E.D. White dominated Leesville with a score of 41-13.
In Division III, Catholic (New Iberia) overcame Calvary Baptist with a close score of 33-31, while Dunham defeated Bunkie 46-22. In Division IV, Vermilion Catholic shut out Kentwood with a score of 33-0, and Ouachita Christian edged out Ascension Catholic with a score of 24-22.
In the Non-Select divisions, Central (Baton Rouge) defeated Neville 17-13, and Ruston beat Destrehan 44-7 in Division I. In Division II, Franklinton triumphed over Iowa with a score of 35-29, and Cecilia bested Plaquemine with a score of 55-35. In Division III, Sterlington defeated Jena 48-14, while St. James narrowly beat Union Parish 43-36. In Division IV, Haynesville dominated General Trass with a score of 52-14, and South Plaquemines defeated Logansport 20-14.
