Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour Book’ flies off the shelves with over 800,000 copies sold in the first weekend.

Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour Book” has become the biggest book launch of the year, selling 814,000 copies over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The book, which retails for $39.99, features over 500 photos from her highly successful worldwide tour. Swift announced the release on Instagram, promising personal reflections, behind-the-scenes photos, and memories from the tour. The book was sold exclusively through Target, with nearly 1 million copies sold in its first week.

Some local bookstore owners expressed disappointment at the exclusive deal with Target, while fans pointed out grammar mistakes, typos, and graphic design issues in the book. Despite the criticism, the book’s in-store release on Black Friday saw record-breaking sales. Alongside the book, Target also released CD and vinyl versions of Swift’s deluxe album “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.”

The book is the highest-selling book in the Music category since Circana began tracking sales 20 years ago. Target’s executive vice president, Rick Gomez, expressed excitement at the overwhelming response to the book and album release. While neither Target nor Swift’s team commented on the book’s quality concerns, the record-breaking sales and positive response from fans and shoppers indicate the success of the release.
