On New Year’s Day in New Orleans, a deadly attack claimed the lives of at least 14 people as a driver plowed into a crowd on Bourbon Street, in what is believed to be a terrorist act. Brandon Taylor, who was with his partner Heather Genusa at the time of the attack, also lost his life. Genusa criticized the city for not taking appropriate measures to ensure the safety of its residents and visitors.
