Marshall’s women’s basketball team rallied from a 14-point deficit in the second half to take the lead late in the game, but ultimately fell to the Ragin’ Cajuns in overtime with a score of 92-88. CC Mays scored a career-high 27 points, while Madison Kellione added 19 points with impressive shooting from behind the arc. Despite leading by three points late in regulation, Marshall was unable to hold on as the Cajuns hit a game-tying three-pointer to force overtime.
The team will return home for the MAC-SBC Challenge against Central Michigan on Saturday.
