The George Mason softball team kicked off their 2025 season with a split in their first two games at the Louisiana Classic in Lafayette. In game one, the Patriots were shut out by Longwood in extra innings, with Jordan Tallman delivering a strong performance on the mound. Despite falling behind early, George Mason fought back to tie the game 3-3, but Longwood eventually secured the win. In game two, the Patriots bounced back with a 7-2 victory over Seton Hall, fueled by Abbey Lane’s solid pitching and a strong offensive showing. With two more games lined up for Saturday, the Patriots are looking to build on their mixed start to the season.
