Three standout football players from Junction City High School in Arkansas have recently signed to play at colleges in Louisiana. Jordan Banks and Mason Jeter signed with Centenary College, while Taylen Owens signed with Louisiana Christian University. Banks, a standout defensive end, cited the respect and love he felt from the Centenary coaching staff as a major factor in his decision. Jeter, an offensive lineman, was grateful for the opportunity to attend college without the burden of student loans. Owens, who played multiple positions in high school, chose Louisiana Christian for its welcoming atmosphere and emphasis on faith. All three players have specific academic goals and aspirations for their future careers.
Despite falling just short of the state championship game in 2024, the Dragons’ trio looks back on a successful high school career and hopes to continue their success at the collegiate level. They plan to continue training and preparing for college football while also focusing on personal growth and development. With their sights set on the future, Banks, Jeter, and Owens aim to make a positive impact both on and off the field.
