Confirmation of deaths of all 10 individuals aboard Alaska plane crash

All 10 people on board a small plane traveling from Unalakleet to Nome, Alaska have been confirmed dead after it crashed. The victims, including the pilot Chad Antill and passengers from various Alaskan cities, were positively identified after being recovered and brought to Nome. Recovery efforts focused on retrieving the victims and the wreckage, with three bodies found inside the aircraft on Friday. The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium confirmed that two of its employees were among the victims, who were on a mission to service a heat recovery system in Unalakleet. The plane experienced a rapid loss in elevation and speed before crashing roughly 34 miles southeast of Nome. Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy and Sen. Lisa Murkowski expressed their condolences and gratitude to those involved in the search and recovery efforts. Nome and Unalakleet rely heavily on air and water transport due to the absence of a highway system connecting them. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash. The tragic incident has brought the Alaskan community together in mourning and support for the families and friends of the victims.
