New indictment accuses Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of involvement in ‘forced labor’

U.S. prosecutors have filed a new indictment against Sean “Diddy” Combs, adding to existing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. The indictment accuses Combs of forcing employees to work long hours and threatening those who did not assist in his alleged two-decade sex trafficking scheme. Combs denies these accusations and his lawyer stated that he looks forward to his day in court to prove his innocence. While the new indictment does not add new charges, it describes the “forced labor” that Combs allegedly demanded from employees. Prosecutors claim that Combs and his associates used physical force, financial harm, and threats to control employees. One unnamed employee was reportedly pressured into engaging in sex acts with Combs. The prosecutors expect to provide more details to Combs’ lawyers by March 10 and have requested an arraignment on March 14.

Combs has faced numerous civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault and misconduct, with many filed under a 2022 New York City law allowing victims of gender-motivated violence to sue even after the statutes of limitations have expired. The deadline to sue under this law recently expired. Combs remains in a Brooklyn jail awaiting trial. His lawyer asserts that former employees will testify to his dedication and hard work in building successful businesses.
