Saint Louis University loses in extra innings at Memphis


The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team suffered a tough 5-4 loss to Memphis in 10 innings at FedEx Park Avron Fogelman Field. Despite taking an early 2-0 lead in the third inning, Southeastern was unable to hold on due to late-game struggles. TJ Salvaggio hit a two-run homer for the Lions, but Memphis managed to tie the game in the eighth inning. Ben Robichaux hit a two-run homer in the 10th to give Southeastern the lead again, but it was not enough as Memphis ultimately secured the win.

Kylan Stepter earned the win for Memphis, while Nick Gisclair took the loss for Southeastern. Bailyn Sorensen had a strong performance at the plate, going 2-for-3 for the Lions. The series will conclude on Sunday, with Blake Lobell starting on the mound for Southeastern.
