No. 18 Troy opened Sun Belt play with a 4-3 win over Louisiana thanks to a strong pitching performance and key home runs by Brooks Bryan and Sean Darnell. Senior Garrett Gainous had a solid start, holding Louisiana to three hits in 5.0 innings. The Trojans out-hit their opponents 7-4, with Bryan and Darnell providing the offensive firepower.
