Liam McNeilly from London, England dominated the first race of the Continental Tire USF2000 Grand Prix of Louisiana at NOLA Motorsports Park, securing his third win in as many races for Jay Howard Driver Development. Jack Jeffers finished second and Thomas Schrage climbed from 10th to third. McNeilly also extended his lead in the USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire title chase. He set the fastest qualifying lap and led throughout the 15-lap race with a comfortable four-second victory over Jeffers. Brad Majman, who started on the front row, finished third. Schrage made an impressive comeback after a poor qualifying session to finish third. Teddy Musella and Christian Cameron also had strong performances, finishing fifth and seventh, respectively. The race was temporarily interrupted by a full-course caution due to an incident in the midfield. Despite a brief challenge from Jeffers at the restart, McNeilly maintained his lead to secure the win. The next race of the series promises more intense competition as the drivers continue to battle for the title. The thrilling performance of the young drivers at the Grand Prix has set the stage for an exciting season ahead.
