12 Celebrities Who Disliked Their ‘SNL’ Impressions

Saturday Night Live has made a name for itself by impersonating public figures, from reality TV stars to politicians. While some celebrities have embraced their SNL doppelgängers, others have been less than thrilled with how they were portrayed.

Aimee Lou Wood, known for her role in The White Lotus, recently expressed her disappointment with her SNL impersonation, calling it mean and unfunny. Similarly, Sarah Palin wasn’t a fan of Tina Fey’s portrayal of her, feeling like she was portrayed as an idiot. Anderson Cooper also felt Jon Rudnitsky’s impression of him lacked nuance, while Kellyanne Conway wanted Kate McKinnon to make her character happier.

Actress Carole Baskin strongly disagreed with Chloe Fineman’s portrayal of her, while Britney Spears found Ariana Grande’s impression of her lacking. Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson was unimpressed with Kenan Thompson’s portrayal of him, and Barbara Walters initially hated Gilda Radner’s exaggerated impression of her.

Despite the negative reactions, SNL has continued to push boundaries with their impersonations. While some celebrities may not appreciate the humor, others have taken it in stride. The show remains a cultural juggernaut, continuing to make headlines through their parodies and satire of public figures. Love them or hate them, SNL’s impersonations are here to stay.
