Louisiana Tech’s softball team secured a 5-4 victory over Florida International, evening out their series. Allie Floyd pitched a complete game, allowing five hits and striking out five. The Bulldogs were led by Nicole Hammoude’s three hits and two RBI. In a tight game, LA Tech scored four runs in the fifth inning, with Hammoude and Elena Heng contributing. FIU fought back to tie the game, but LA Tech regained the lead with a run in the sixth. Floyd closed out the game with a strong performance, earning her 13th complete game of the season. The win brought the Bulldogs to a 25-18 overall record. Next, Louisiana Tech will face Kennesaw State in a three-game series.
