The Louisiana Community and Technical College System recently honored 25 outstanding students from across the state as members of the 2025 Phi Theta Kappa All-Louisiana Academic Team. Among the honorees were three students from Three River Parishes Community College. The students, recognized for their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service, were celebrated during a luncheon ceremony in Baton Rouge.
The All-Louisiana Academic Team showcases students who demonstrate high academic achievement and personal development through coursework, campus involvement, leadership, and civic engagement. LCTCS Board of Supervisors Chair Tim Hardy and keynote speaker Kim Hunter Reed commended the students on their accomplishments and the impact they can have on their communities.
As part of the All-Louisiana Academic Team, the students are now eligible for nomination to the All-USA Academic Team, which offers a $5,000 scholarship. River Parishes Community College students Darian Bergeron, Oluwatimilehin Oluwade, and Grace Simmons were among the honorees. Vice President of Education at LCTCS, Chandler LeBoeuf, praised the students for their excellence, leadership, and service, highlighting the promise they represent for Louisiana’s continued growth and progress.
