LSU wide receiver Javen Nicholas has announced his decision to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal after three seasons with the Tigers. The Louisiana native expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to play at LSU and will graduate with a degree in Economics in three years. Nicholas redshirted in 2022 before taking on a larger role in 2023 and 2024, appearing in multiple games as a backup receiver and on special teams.
With the Tigers adding new talent to the wide receiver room this offseason, including Nic Anderson, Barion Brown, and Destyn Hill, Nicholas is now seeking a new team where he can contribute immediately for his remaining two years of eligibility. Head coach Brian Kelly has expressed confidence in the current roster but remains open to exploring opportunities in the transfer portal if they benefit the team.
As LSU wraps up Spring Camp and prepares for summer workouts, the focus will shift to evaluating potential additions through the transfer portal. Despite Kelly’s belief in the team’s depth, the Tigers will continue to monitor opportunities that could enhance the roster.
