Kimmi Bitter to Headline Gator By the Bay Festival in San Diego
SAN DIEGO — The highly anticipated Gator By the Bay festival, the largest Louisiana-themed music and food event on the West Coast, returns this weekend from May 8-11 at Spanish Landing Park. Celebrating its 22nd year, this four-day festival is expected to draw around 15,000 attendees and will feature 100 performances across seven stages.
Producer Rich Sherman describes the festival as "a celebration of Louisiana culture" complete with a rich culinary experience featuring 10,000 pounds of crawfish and live music. Among this year’s highlights is Kimmi Bitter, an award-winning country music artist from Oceanside. Bitter, who recently won Song of the Year at the San Diego Music Awards for her hit "The Cowboy Kind of Girl," will bring her unique blend of California country roots to the stage.
Attendees can indulge in authentic Louisiana cuisine and participate in vibrant Mardi Gras-style celebrations. "Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler," or "let the good times roll," is the mantra that encapsulates the event’s exuberant spirit. Gator By the Bay offers a festive atmosphere, allowing San Diegans to experience the flavors and sounds of New Orleans right at home.
