Southeastern Louisiana University Women’s Basketball Welcomes New Recruits for 2025-26 Season
HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women’s basketball program is thrilled to announce the signing of three talented recruits, Aisha Marten-Coney, Natalie Huff, and Emma Lucio, for the 2025-26 season. Head Coach Jeff Dow revealed the news on Monday, marking the latest additions to the team’s recruiting class.
Marten-Coney, a 6-foot forward from Sydney, Australia, joins the Lady Lions with three years of eligibility remaining. Previously at Ranger College, she had a successful sophomore season averaging 11.1 points per game while shooting impressively from both the field and three-point range. Coach Dow praised her versatility, emphasizing her capability to score from various positions on the court.
Natalie Huff, a 5-7 guard from San Antonio, Texas, transfers from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, having redshirted last year. Known for her significant contributions at Clark High School, where she helped secure a state championship, Huff is expected to bring a strong game sense to the point guard position. Coach Dow highlighted her winning mentality developed through years of high school success.
Emma Lucio, a 5-9 guard from Edinburg, Texas, comes from UTSA, bringing valuable experience with two years of eligibility left. She has earned multiple accolades during her basketball journey, including Co-Offensive Player of the Year and All-District honors. Dow noted Lucio’s adaptability, stating she could effectively fill various positions on the court.
With these additions, the recruiting class now consists of eight players, including previously signed athletes like Aliyah Collins and Eryn McKinzie. The 2025-26 season is set to commence in early November, sparking excitement for the upcoming campaign.
