NEW ORLEANS — May 8th has been officially designated as “Cam Jordan Day” in honor of the Saints superstar’s significant contributions to community outreach. The New Orleans City Council recognized Jordan for his ongoing efforts to uplift the local community and inspire the youth.

Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser praised Jordan, stating, "Today we celebrate a man whose legacy stretches beyond the football field." Councilman JP Morrell echoed this sentiment, noting Jordan’s relentless commitment to helping others.

At 6’4" and 287 pounds, Jordan uses his platform for charitable initiatives, including school supply drives and extensive school visits. Reflecting on his motivation, he said, "If you see somebody that’s always giving back, you sort of want to give that." His dedication has left an indelible mark on New Orleans, especially among students.

Jamar McKneely, CEO of InspireNOLA Charter Schools, expressed gratitude on behalf of the city’s students, highlighting that Jordan has reached all 6,500 students in their schools.

Jordan, a devoted father and husband, emphasized his love for New Orleans, stating, "When you see the love you get from New Orleans, is there a point in leaving?"

This day will serve as a reminder of Jordan’s impact both on and off the field.
