Surveillance Footage Captures Escaped Inmates in the French Quarter

Press Release: Inmates Escape Orleans Parish Jail, Surveillance Footage Reveals Sightings

New Orleans — In a dramatic development, surveillance video has surfaced showing two inmates walking near HUSTLER Hollywood on Bourbon Street, just days after ten inmates escaped from the Orleans Parish Jail. The footage, timestamped before 10 a.m. on May 16, identifies one of the men as 20-year-old Kendell Myles, who was re-arrested approximately an hour later at the Hotel Monteleone parking garage, found hiding under a car. Myles now faces charges of simple escape.

Authorities are still searching for the second man, whose whereabouts remain unknown. Later that day, law enforcement successfully apprehended two additional escapees: 21-year-old Robert Moody, found in Uptown, and 24-year-old Dkenan Dennis, captured in New Orleans East. Both were detained thanks to tips from the community.

As of now, seven inmates are still evading capture. Investigators urge the public to report any information regarding their whereabouts by contacting the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or through Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111. The three recaptured inmates have since been relocated to a state prison.
