Sulphur, Louisiana – As the Women’s College World Series approaches, athletes are eyeing both closure and new beginnings in the world of collegiate softball. The Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) is gearing up for its inaugural season, launching on June 7, 2025. This innovative league will consist of four teams—the Bandits, Blaze, Talons, and Volts—that will play across the United States, from Salt Lake City to Chattanooga, before settling into host cities in 2026.

One notable player making waves in the AUSL is Sam Landry, a former Ragin Cajuns and Oklahoma pitcher. Drafted into the league, she will return to Louisiana to play as part of the Volts. The Volts will face off against the Bandits in a thrilling three-game series scheduled for June 12-14, 2025, at McMurry Park, located at 300 S Hazel St, Sulphur.

Joining Sam on the Volts roster is Danieca Coffey, a former LSU utility player who also completed her collegiate career this season. Fans in the region can look forward to an electrifying display of talent as both players showcase their skills on home turf.

Tickets for the games are now available for purchase through the AUSL website, priced at $22.23 (inclusive of taxes and fees) for general admission. This unique event promises to bring local and national talent together, creating an unforgettable sporting experience for fans.
