Louisiana Tech Athletics Enhances Philanthropic Initiatives Amid Evolving College Sports Landscape
RUSTON – In light of an anticipated landmark ruling in the House vs NCAA case and the shifting dynamics in college athletics, Louisiana Tech Athletics is set to expand its philanthropic efforts and enhance fan and donor programs. The Championship Resources division, the fundraising arm of LA Tech Athletics, is adjusting to better serve fans, donors, business partners, and student-athletes.
Starting now, all contributions—restricted or unrestricted—will count towards annual membership levels, which will be based on a points system rather than solely on the dollar amount donated. Key giving areas include the LTAC General Fund for unrestricted contributions and various restricted giving accounts, like endowments and sport-specific funds.
Additionally, the Aillet Society allows donors to pledge over five years, starting at $5,000 annually. The newly introduced CHAMP Fund aims to support student-athletes through revenue sharing and name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities. Donations to this fund, which are tax-deductible, can be directed to specific sports.
