LSU Football’s 2026 Recruiting Class Ranked Second Nationwide
BATON ROUGE, LA – As LSU football heads into summer camp, its 2026 recruiting class stands proudly at second in the nation, showcasing a strong roster of talent predominantly from Louisiana. Under head coach Brian Kelly, the Tigers have focused on keeping top local talent home, securing commitments from six Louisiana natives, including the highly-coveted five-star defensive lineman Richard Anderson.
Among the prospects still on the board is five-star athlete Lamar Brown, the top player in Louisiana, who is projected to commit to LSU on July 10. Brown’s versatility on both the offensive and defensive lines positions him as a key asset for the Tigers, potentially joining Anderson and wide receiver Tristen Keys as three five-star recruits in this class.
However, not all targets seem inclined toward the Tigers. Four-star defensive lineman Dylan Berymon has narrowed his choices and appears poised to commit to Purdue, having previously considered LSU a strong contender.
On a more promising note, three-star defensive lineman Darryus McKinley is likely heading to Baton Rouge, with a commitment announcement expected on November 8. His connection to his brother, who plays for the Tigers, enhances LSU’s appeal in this recruitment.
Another prospect to watch is Dezyrian Ellis, a three-star athlete favored to join LSU, with a striking 99.7% chance of commitment according to On3’s Prediction Machine.
LSU remains vigilant regarding five-star safety Blaine Bradford, who is currently committed to Ohio State. While his pledge appears firm, the Tigers persist in their pursuit, aiming to keep top-tier talent within the state.
As LSU builds what could be its best recruiting class under Kelly, excitement grows about the future of Tiger football.
