Alannah Rogers Receives Conference USA Spring Spirit of Service Award
RUSTON – Louisiana Tech Softball’s Alannah Rogers has been honored with the prestigious Conference USA Spring Spirit of Service Award, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. This accolade recognizes student-athletes for their exceptional community service, academic excellence, and athletic participation.
A key player for the Bulldogs, Rogers, a junior right fielder, showcased her skills in 54 games this season, starting in 52. She tallied impressive statistics, including 36 hits, seven doubles, three triples, 22 runs scored, and 15 RBIs. Notably, she achieved nine multi-hit games, with standout performances such as a three-hit, three-run game against ULM on February 15.
Balancing her athletic commitments with a strong academic record, Rogers maintains a 3.46 GPA while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics. She has earned accolades such as being named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll three times and being recognized as an NFCA Scholar-Athlete.
In addition to her athletic prowess, Rogers is deeply committed to community service, dedicating her time to various projects, including assistance with the Food Pantry, organization of Dog Haul events, nostalgic Christmas shopping events, and support for Puerto Vallarta Elementary School.
Rogers is the seventh Louisiana Tech softball player to receive this honor, following the footsteps of notable alumni such as Janine Godwin (2014), Kristen Miles (2015), and Emma Hutchinson (2022).
