A Virginia woman, Amanda Kempton, 32, has been arraigned and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of luxury real estate agent Sara Burack, 40. The event occurred in the Hamptons on Thursday, as confirmed by Southampton Town Police. Burack, known for her role in Netflix’s reality series “Million Dollar Beach House,” was found unresponsive on Montauk Highway after police received a 911 call. Despite efforts to revive her, she was pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital.
Kempton pleaded not guilty to the charges and has since been released on bail, though her attorney has not commented on the case. Burack had a longstanding career at Nest Seekers International, a luxury real estate firm, where she worked for over ten years. Her participation in “Million Dollar Beach House,” which aired in 2020, showcased the competitive nature of real estate agents in the Hamptons.
Following the tragic event, the real estate community has mourned Burack’s death, although Nest Seekers International has not issued a statement. Netflix has also not responded to inquiries regarding the incident. The circumstances surrounding the hit-and-run remain under investigation, with police continuing to look into the details of the case.
