Man Shot and Killed on Morrison Road: NOPD Investigates Homicide
NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is investigating a homicide that resulted in one man’s death early Sunday morning. Police were dispatched to the 5600 block of Morrison Road around 2:40 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a man lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite emergency response efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office is set to release the victim’s identity and will conduct an autopsy to ascertain the precise cause of death.
