Natchitoches Set to Host 2025 Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Induction Celebration
Natchitoches, LA – Three exciting days filled with sports and entertainment await as Natchitoches becomes the center of celebration for the 2025 Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame (LSHOF) Induction Celebration from Thursday to Saturday. The highlight of the event will be the induction ceremony on Saturday night at the Natchitoches Events Center, now accommodating up to 900 attendees due to a recent seating reconfiguration. Kicking off the festivities on Thursday is a complimentary Welcome Reception from 5-7 p.m. at the Hall of Fame museum. Friday features the Mardi Gras Bowling Bash, where bowlers will enjoy a catered lunch and compete at Four Seasons Bowling Center in Alexandria. The evening will host the Rockin’ River Fest, featuring free concerts by the Lauren Lee Band and The Chase Tyler Band downtown along Cane River Lake, complemented by a ticketed VIP Taste of Tailgating event.
Saturday’s agenda includes a free LSHOF Junior Training Camp led by New Orleans Saints and Pelicans staff, along with Hall of Fame inductees, and a Round Table Luncheon emceed by Fox Sports’ Tim Brando. The day culminates in the Induction Reception at 5 p.m. followed by the Induction Ceremony at 7 p.m., which will broadcast live on Louisiana Public Broadcasting.
This year’s inductees include notable figures such as Nick Saban, Andrew Whitworth, and basketball stars Vickie Johnson and Danny Granger. Special recognitions also include the Dave Dixon Louisiana Sports Leadership Award for Herb Vincent and the Distinguished Service Award in Sports Journalism for Ed Daniels and Glenn Guilbeau.
