Pappas responded to Brown’s candidacy by accusing him of prioritizing corporate interests over the needs of New Hampshire residents. He highlighted a contrast between their visions, claiming that while Brown supports “reckless tariffs” detrimental to local businesses, he chooses to put New Hampshire first.
The race for the open Senate seat is expected to be competitive, with the state having voted for former Vice President Kamala Harris by a narrow margin of 3 percentage points in 2024. As the campaign unfolds, both candidates will seek to appeal to voters’ concerns about the economy, representation, and national issues.
