Prominent Louisiana athlete becomes member of Augusta National

NFL legend Eli Manning, a New Orleans native and former quarterback, has been invited to join Augusta National Golf Club, home of the Masters tournament. Manning, who retired in 2019 and co-hosts Monday Night Football with his brother, Peyton Manning, became a member at Augusta National in 2016. He will be joined by three other new members, including Amazon CEO Andy Jassy and Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian.

Augusta National has not officially confirmed the new members, as the club is known for its privacy. The Mannings are believed to be the only current members from Louisiana. Eli Manning, 43, is also a member of Pine Valley Golf Club in New Jersey, which was recently ranked the No. 1 course in America.

Manning, a first-round draft pick in 2004, played his entire NFL career with the New York Giants, leading them to two Super Bowl victories. He was recently nominated for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025, with the announcement set for Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans. The 2025 Masters tournament is scheduled for April 10-13, where Manning will make his presence felt as a member of Augusta National.
