Louisiana Mother Arrested After Attempting to Run Over Elementary School Students
In a shocking incident in Shreveport, Louisiana, a mother has been arrested after allegedly trying to run over a group of elementary school students. Lejonkica Sharp, 33, faces six counts of aggravated assault following the event on the evening of April 29 near Pine Grove Elementary.
According to police, the situation unfolded when a parent reported that her children were nearly struck by Sharp while walking home from school. It was revealed that Sharp had dropped off a group of children with the intent to confront another group, which included her child. As tensions escalated, Sharp allegedly attempted to hit six children with her car.
Sharp claimed she was merely reacting to the children throwing rocks at her vehicle and had no intention to harm anyone. However, surveillance footage reviewed by a school patrol officer contradicted her statement.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
